A few tips to maximise your enjoyment of this site

On most pages, there are pictures on the right of the page. Clicking on the pictures will open them up to full size and hovering over the picture, an arrow should appear which allows you to move to the next or previous picture. This will not work on the summary pages.

Some pages have a symbol. Click on this symbol to hyperlink to a page with more information.

Change text size

If you are using Internet Explorer: to increase or decrease the text size, use the Text Size setting in the View menu (at the top of the screen>. The default setting is Medium.

In browsers other than Internet Explorer, there will be a similar setting. For example, in Netscape versions 6 and above the option is called Text Zoom.

This St Peter Port Lifeboat web site has been produced by Colin and Mark Le Conte.

Mark Le Conte has just started his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Scheme having successfully completed his Silver award. As part of his Gold Award, there is a requirement to provide a "Community Service" for 1 hour a week for 1 year. Mark has chosen being webmaster of the St Peter Port Lifeboat web site for this purpose, which will take a lot more time than that!

Mark is 17 years old and attends Grammar School where he is studying Mathematics, Physics, Business Studies and Graphics Design A-levels. In his spare time he plays Squash where he has represented his Island and played in British and European tournaments.

The site was designed by Colin Le Conte, Mark's father who is Managing Director of Digimap - http://www.digimap.gg

Colin created the first ever worldwide World Offshore Powerboat site www.worldoffshore.com, collecting results and information from around the World and became the site to visit for Powerboat information. Colin was appointed head of computer and timing systems for the pinnacle of the sport, the Class 1 UIM World Offshore Powerboat Championship, a post he held for 14 years.

More recently, Colin produced the www.guernsey2008.worldoffshore.com site to support the local World Offshore Powerboat Championship, Class IIIc which was held in Guernsey.
